The Keys to Happiness...

I recently heard on the radio that doing these 4 things each day are the keys to happiness & I thought I'd share them with you with my own little commentaries:

1. Move - run, walk, dance, whatever!
2. Laugh - R-E-L-A-X...& don't take life so seriously.  After all, do any of us really know what the hell we're doing?  Life is just a big experiment & will be over before you know it so you might as well have fun!
3. Do something you love/are passionate about - well, you all know how I feel about that.
4. Have compassion for others - unconditional love is what the entire universe is made of (& therefore what we're made of).  When you tap into unconditional love you're aligning yourself with the power of the entire universe & anything you dream is possible.  Don't be a clogged artery, keep the love flowing & it will come back to you tenfold!

Or you could just run on the beach with a bunch of balloons like this lady...I think she may be on to something :)

Check Out My Video!

I recently had a lot of fun doing a video interview with career coach Michael Pollock.  His How I Got Here video series features the stories of creative & entrepreneurial professionals- the challenges, triumphs & well, how they got there!  Life is not a dress rehearsal, go for your dreams my friends!  I can't promise it's going to be easy but I can promise you'll be infinitely happier & it will be worth it :)  http://pollockspark.com/is-there-life-after-goldman-sachs/

It's a Party in the USA

Wishing you all a fun & festive Fourth of July in America the Beautiful!

A little story for you that's fitting for today....my paternal grandfather, "Pop", was one of the happiest & easygoing people I've ever known.  He was so content with life, living in a modest home in Florida, working on his cars, drinking "brewskies" & humming & singing little songs all the time.  I asked my Dad once, "How is Pop so happy all the time?!"  My Dad told me that when Pop was a Marine in WWII he saw horrible atrocities & said if he made it home alive he would kiss the ground & never complain again.  & did he ever live up to that, his sparkling blue eyes always joyous & full of life.  He was truly a living example of gratitude

As we celebrate with our family & friends today let's all take a moment of gratitude for all of our blessings & for those who fought for & continue to fight for our freedom.  We wouldn't be where we are without them.

Now let's all sing along with one of our great American treasures, Miss Miley...come on, you know you know all the words!!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M11SvDtPBhA

All-American Road Trip

To kick off the week of our nation celebrating its awesomeness, my mom, sister & I took a little road trip this past weekend...

My youngest sister is a huge Buffalo Bills fan & signed up for a 5k that finishes at the 50 yard line of their home stadium.  She just took up running so this was a big motivator for her.  We both ran it & had a blast...
They were handing out free Bud Lights to all the finishers...I mean what's more all-American than football & Bud Light?  Yes, it was 8am on a dreary Saturday morning in Buffalo but all the more reason to go for it...cheers!

Next on the agenda was a big breakfast at the diner & then...dadadaduh....Niagara Falls!!
They were more beautiful & peaceful (well, some parts) than I expected & that dreary, rainy morning turned into blazing sunshine by the time we got there...
moment of truth...
it looks like they're all in heaven...

well we most certainly had a heavenly weekend, hope you enjoyed a peek at our all-American road trip! :)
