I Hugged Deepak Chopra on Tuesday Morning

For real.  This is how it went down....

Tuesday was a picture perfect spring day.  After enduring the most painful winter I can remember I was just so happy to be outside walking around in the warmth, enjoying the flowers, singing birds, & green leaves on the trees.  That morning I had just completed day 21 (woohoo!) of Oprah & Deepak's latest 21 Day Meditation Challenge & was doing some client shopping in the Flatiron District, excited to see my sister, who was in from Miami, later in the day.  Walking past ABC Home I saw a really cool light fixture through the open door & had to check it out.  As I was admiring it who do I see walking toward the exit but Deepak Chopra!!  I didn't even think about it..I just ran up to him, touched him lightly on the arm & said, "I have to tell you that I absolutely adore you!"  He looked at me, smiled & gave me a hug.  I said, "I just finished your 21 Day Meditation Challenge this morning, it was amazing.  Namaste."  & then just like that we parted ways.  I couldn't believe what had just happened, I had to get a coffee & sit down at a sidewalk table with the chirping birds & take it all in.  I texted my cousin, who is my spiritual soul sister & a huge Deepak fan as well, & she called me immediately- we squealed with delight & I was cracking up as she screamed at the top of her lungs while she was driving.  I met my sister afterward, we took in the beauty & fun of NYC on the glorious spring day, & it was without a doubt one of the best days of my life.
When you follow your dreams & live with an open heart & mind the universe shows you it's listening.  Magic happens.  You meditate with Deepak Chopra one morning & two hours later you're hugging him in the doorway of a furniture store, a special person or pet appears in your life, a wonderful opportunity comes your way seemingly out of the blue.

Today is Chintz & Swagger's two year birthday.  It all started with this post & is dedicated to my grandfather Pop Carney, who passed away on this date seven years ago.  Embrace your swagger & follow your dreams my friends- & let's keep the MAGIC flowing!!!
